Overview

Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club located on the seafront in Costa Ballena, near Rota in Cádiz on the Costa de la Luz.

The Club offers a 27-hole Championship course plus an additional 9 holes of par 3’s on the executive course, spread over a 100-hectare site running alongside the Atlantic coast with sea views and coastal breezes.

Designed by Spanish golf legend José María Olazábal, the 27-hole Championship course is split into three nine-hole loops, named after the trees which line each loop (Los Olivos, Las Palmeras and Los Ficus) which can be combined in different ways for varied 18-hole rounds, with a par of 72. The course is flat with slight undulations stretching over an area of exceptional beauty flanked by sand dunes and four large lakes which come into play on many holes.

Complementing the main course, the 9-Hole Par-3 Executive Course’s design meets the same criteria as the Championship course with the same amount of care and conditioning given. It’s an ideal short course to perfect to warm up, improve iron play enjoy a quicker round.

Costa Ballena Ocean golf club is renowned for its fantastic practice facilities including one of the largest driving ranges in Europe at over 350m wide with extensive views over the Atlantic along with an immense short game practice area, a big putting green with a whole variety of slopes and undulations and two chipping and pitching greens with bunkers.

The Clubhouse also features a fully equipped gym, sauna, jacuzzi and a restaurant with an extensive terrace and panoramic views across the course to the ocean.
