Real Novo Sancti Petri Golf Club covers over 400 hectares of typical Andalusian golfing land with coastal views and umbrella pine forests, close to Chiclana de Frontera on the Costa de la Luz.
This, well established, golf club features 36 holes of outstanding technical and scenic golf distributed across the, Severiano Ballesteros designed, ‘Mar y Pinos’ (A), and ‘Centro’ (B) courses.
The A course at Real Novo Sancti Petri Golf Club, also known as the “Mar y Pinos” course was designed and built in 1990 . The front nine holes (Mar) go out towards the sea, and return to the clubhouse for the par 3, 9th hole. The second nine holes (Pinos) are set amongst the pine trees as the name suggests. The holes are long and challenging. Fairways are generous, dotted with indigenous pine trees. Water hazards and palm trees combine to make the course a challenge for every golfer. The attractive design of the course with its natural setting and indigenous flora combine to make the course one of the most beautiful on the Costa de la Luz. Views over the magnificent artificial water obstructions prepare you for the spectacular 6th hole, which is the signature hole on the golf course. The green offers breath-taking views of the beach, Atlantic Ocean and the island of Sancti Petri .
The B course, “Centro”, has an unusual distribution of six par 5´s, six par 4´s and six par 3 holes. The course goes out towards the Atlantic Ocean and returns to the club house on the 18th hole. Fairways are lined with pine trees and palms, and combined water hazards over several holes create an enjoyable challenge for every golfer. The views from the 10th to the 13th hole of the Atlantic Ocean are truly spectacular. The terrain is undulating between holes 5 and 14, and on the 18th hole there is a bunker in the shape of an “S” in memory of the course designer, Severiano Ballesteros.
Practice facilities at the club are amongst Europe´s finest. There is a 9-hole Pitch & Putt course with short holes ranging from 45 to 65 meters long. Pine trees make the course an interesting test of golf and the ideal place for you to improve your short game. The driving range is 270 meters long and partially covered with 130 practice tees divided into 3 zones and numerous target greens as well as fairway bunkers. There are also short game practice areas and putting greens where you can practice skills from uphill and downhill lies to chips and pitches of different lengths. The golf academy has 5 PGA golf professionals offering group or private tuition courses from beginners to advanced levels.
The clubhouse is a modern low-level building with a great terrace overlooking two greens facilities include ‘Los Olivos’ a-la-carte restaurant overlooking the course and ‘El Chozo Snackbar’ between holes 10 and 18 of the Mar y Pinos course. regulation-size pi two regulation-size
