PARTICIPANTS
The competition is limited to players (male & female), of any age, with a valid license issued by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation or a handicap certificate from another international golf federation. Participants that are not license holders with handicap with the Spanish Golf Federation (RFEG) must present an up to date handicap record before the start of play.
No limit of handicap BUT to qualify for a prize the maximum handicap (exact) for men is 26.4 & ladies 36.4

FORMAT
Individual Stableford (hcp), 54 holes.

CATEGORIES AND PRIZES
Three categories with prizes for the best three results in each category, as well as special prizes (e.g. Longest drive, nearest the pin, best scratch)
The XX LA CALA GOLF WORLD OPEN CHAMPION will be the player with the best score over the three rounds.

3. Tees
Men – yellow tee markers.
Ladies – red tee markers.

4. Handicaps
The maximum playing handicap is 36.

5. Prizes:
• 1st, 2nd & 3rd Gross;
• 1st, 2nd & 3rd Net;

Special Prizes:
. Longest Drive
. Nearest to pin

Prizes will not be accumulated, with the Gross prize prevailing over the Net.

6. Local Rules
Local Rules are available on the back of each golf courses’ score card.
There are no referees on the course. If there is a dispute about the appliance of a golf rule your opponent is liable to take that ruling. In case of doubt always play the ball as it lies. A rules official will be available at the clubhouse.

The cases omitted in this regulation will be decided by the committee, according with the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf of St. Andrews.
The committee reserves the right to, at any moment, complete or change these regulations, suspend or cancel the competition.
