Overview

Golf Son Antem East is one of Mallorca’s most established and popular golf courses, forming part of the expansive Son Antem Golf Resort near Llucmajor, in the island’s south. Opened in 1994, it is the older of the resort’s two 18-hole layouts and remains a firm favourite among both locals and visitors for its generous fairways, accessible design, and relaxed resort atmosphere.

The course is set within a vast, open landscape on a former estate surrounded by rural countryside, almond groves and distant mountain views. Its parkland layout is characterised by wide fairways bordered by natural vegetation and large, flat greens that invite bold approach shots. The East Course stretches just over 6,200 metres from the back tees and plays as a par-72, offering a gentle challenge for beginners and mid-handicappers while still maintaining enough length and water features to keep better players engaged.

Son Antem East’s design prioritises playability and enjoyment. The first nine holes ease golfers into the round with forgiving landing areas and straightforward lines of play, while the back nine introduces greater variety, including several holes framed by lakes and subtle elevation changes. The greens are known for being smooth, consistent and slightly elevated — rewarding precision in approach play.

The resort’s wide, open setting makes it a pleasant walk, and its design allows for fast play without ever feeling rushed.
