Overview
Golf de Andratx is a spectacular 18-hole championship course located in Camp de Mar, in the south-west of Mallorca. Nestled within a lush valley surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards, the course combines dramatic scenery with a challenging layout, making it one of the island’s most visually striking and technically demanding rounds.
Opened in 2000 and designed by David Kidd, the course stretches over 6,200 metres and features a creative design that rewards both strategy and shot-making precision. It is known for its undulating terrain, perfectly maintained fairways, and dramatic elevation changes that test even seasoned players. The course’s signature hole — the par-5 6th, affectionately known as “The Green Monster” — is the longest hole in Mallorca at over 600 metres, demanding accuracy, patience and power in equal measure.
The front nine begins with a mix of challenging doglegs and narrow tree-lined corridors, while the back nine opens up into a series of elevated tees and sweeping views of the surrounding valley. Each hole is framed by Mediterranean vegetation, stone walls and water features that reflect the natural beauty of Camp de Mar. The greens are large, fast and subtly contoured, rewarding creativity on approach and putting.
Golf de Andratx is also renowned for its luxury atmosphere and excellent facilities. The clubhouse, built in traditional Mallorcan style, overlooks the 18th green and offers a refined restaurant terrace — Campino — serving high-end Italian-Mediterranean cuisine and widely considered one of the most scenic post-round dining spots on the island.
The course has attracted numerous professional and celebrity players over the years, not only for its technical challenge but also for its setting: a valley filled with olive trees, sea views from elevated holes, and a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere. With its combination of natural beauty, demanding design and first-class service, Golf de Andratx stands out as one of Mallorca’s flagship golf destinations.
