Created by Enrique Canales and Luis Recasens, the 27-hole course at Islantilla Golf Club is the most well-established course in the Huelva region of the Costa de la Luz. With three flexible and challenging 9-hole loops, the variety of golf available at Islantilla is vast. The course is parkland forest style meandering through the pine trees, leading you to believe that you are the only golfers on the course. Always in superb condition, the course varies from tight tree lined fairways with small, fast greens, to open views of the Huelva coastline with challenging shots over water to target greens.
The 9-hole courses can be mix and matched to make different 18-hole experiences depending on your mood and skill level. The ‘Blue Course’ is a more technical and rewarding course for lower-handicap golfers, the ‘Yellow Course’ offers a moderate challenge and lovely coastal views, and the ‘Green Course’ is ideal for higher handicaps.
The, well equipped, practice facilities at Islantilla Golf Resort include a fully covered driving range (think sun, not rain!), chipping/putting greens and practice bunkers
The Colonial style, clubhouse has spectacular views of the entire golf course and houses ‘La Terrazza’ bar/restaurant specialising in Italian dishes and serving a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner that can be enjoyed on the terraces.
