Real Club de Golf Guadalmina is one of the most established and respected golf clubs on the Costa del Sol in Marbella.
The club offers two 18 holes golf courses; North and South , a 9-hole pitch and putt course, a covered driving range for 40 players and a chipping and putting green, a facility comparable to only a few other destinations on the Costa del Sol.
The South Course at Real Club de Golf Guadalmina is the oldest course on the resort, and certainly the tougher test. Voted amongst the top 20 courses in Spain and designed by Javier Arana, Guadalmina South Couse is built on much flatter terrain than “El Norte”
The course was designed by the Basque designer Javier Arana, in two different stages, in both phases he designed nine very different holes with the front 9 is certainly the easier of the two 9’s, however, the back to back par’s 5’s on the way out do require full attention to avoid adding up a few more shots than expected at the turn. The harsher back 9 gets underway with the 10th located by the resorts hotel with several holes running alongside the Mediterranean, which helps most golfers forget about those few extra shots taken on the 6th and 7th! Its narrow corridors and strategic demands tend to favour experienced and precise players, but adjustable tees help make it enjoyable for mid-handicaps.
A cafeteria and restaurant are also available on the ground floor of the club house, where visitors are warmly welcomed to enjoy a selection of dishes and light snacks.
