Golf at Quinta do Lago is shaped by the landscape itself — pine forests, lakes, and the protected beauty of the Ria Formosa. Across three of Portugal’s finest, award-winning courses — South, North and Laranjal — players experience variety, challenge and unforgettable views at every turn.
In 2014 the North Course was totally redesigned, to modern championship standards, by renowned architect Beau Welling, in conjunction with the former, victorious, European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley.
The 18-hole, 6,400 metre, par 72 course is set within a beautiful natural pine woodland, with sandy terrain strewn with heather, gorse and wildflowers. It is a course full of challenges with undulating greens, deep, well positioned bunkers and water hazards shaping many holes.
Walking off the 18th, the course may leave you with a sense of accomplishment or thoughts for what might have been – but always a longing to address the tee on the first hole and do it all again.
Four sets of tees help to make Quinta do Lago North Course an enjoyable challenge to golfers of all standards and well worth a round for your golf holiday in Portugal.
The Quinta do Lago Clubhouses have a menu for all tastes. The legendary ‘19th Hole’ atmosphere creates an ideal pit-stop after a busy morning on the fairways. In addition, there is a Buggy Bar service available on the course.
Onsite accommodation is available at the 5* Quinta do Lago hotel and the 4* Magnolia Hotel
