Golf at Quinta do Lago is shaped by the landscape itself — pine forests, lakes, and the protected beauty of the Ria Formosa. Across three of Portugal’s finest, award-winning courses — South, North and Laranjal — players experience variety, challenge and unforgettable views at every turn.
Originally an orange grove, the par 72 championship Laranjal course lies in the Ludo Valley and is renowned for its five beautiful lakes, umbrella pines, cork-oaks and orange trees. At 6,480 metres in length, this challenging course features narrow fairways and well-defined greens, laid out on rolling terrain, demanding the highest level of concentration and accuracy. The course is sown with Bermuda grass on the fairways and Penn A4 on the greens, ensuring excellent putting surfaces throughout the year.
“It will be a surprise for a lot of people… it provokes a series of emotions from the first hole to the last. It is about the game and the strategy as well as the aesthetics. Nobody will be indifferent to it” – Architect Santana da Silva.
The Quinta do Lago Clubhouses have a menu for all tastes. The legendary ‘19th Hole’ atmosphere creates an ideal pit-stop after a busy morning on the fairways. In addition, there is a Buggy Bar service available on the course.
Onsite accommodation is available at the 5* Quinta do Lago hotel and the 4* Magnolia Hotel
