Situated in Puerto Real, just 10 minutes from Cádiz city, the golf course at Villanueva Golf & Croquet Club, is as close to a British style links golf course as you will find in this corner of southwest Spain.
The 18-hole, par 72, course is generally flat with wide undulating fairways, speedy greens full of humps and borrows, pot bunkers in the fairways (hand sculpted by our friend Oliver, the Villanueva golf course director) and lakes and ponds that come into play on several holes.
This is an excellent holiday golf course with a good variety of holes which will suit players of mixed ability so is well worth consideration if you are playing a bit of golf in the Cadiz region of the Costa de la Luz.
The club has a great restaurant serving simple, local cuisine and a classic golf snack menu, which can be enjoyed indoors or on the charming terrace with great views.
Practice facilities include a driving Range, approach area and putting and chipping greens.
