The excellent Nick Price & Ronald Fream design, 18-hole, par 71, Vale da Pinta course is the championship course at the Pestana Carvoeiro Golf Resort in the western Algarve.
With gently undulating fairways of Bermuda grass and ornamental lakes in an area dotted with ancient carob, fig, almond and olive trees (including one olive tree over 1200 years old!), Vale de Pinta is rightly respected not just for its playability and challenging layout but for outstanding levels of beauty and enjoyment.
Elevation changes, strategically placed sand bunkers, well-protected, subtly contoured greens, doglegs and lakes all come in to play on this well designed, balanced course presenting a true test, without being overly punishing.
