Villamartin is one of the four main Orihuela Costa Golf Courses on the southernmost tip of the Costa Blanca and is one of the area’s oldest and most prestigious courses.
Opened in 1972 and designed by the legendary Robert Dean Puttman, the 18-hole, par 72 course has an exciting design and many challenges.
Mediterranean vegetation, including impressive pine and olive trees provide a beautiful backdrop to this mature course that also boasts stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.
The course has an interesting and varied layout, with no two holes the same. Strategically positioned water hazards, ravines, trees and cleverly designed greens, provide a challenging round for a wide range of handicaps. Thoughtful course management is required here.
The signature hole is the 17th, a Par 3 with a demanding 200m carry off the back tee onto an extremely undulating green. The shot from the tee crosses a tree lined deep ravine that protects the hole and presents a challenge for all.
The club has a driving range, putting green, pro shop, buggy hire, club hire, golf tuition and clubhouse restaurant. The clubhouse has a restaurant/bar and a roof terrace with a magnificent view over the 18th green.
Villamartín is a partner course of La Finca, located 20 minutes by car from the La Finca Resort. It is close to Las Ramblas and Real Club Campoamor, so it fits easily into a week playing the Orihuela Costa courses.
