The Costa Blanca, the coast of Alicante province, runs from Denia in the north to Pilar de la Horadada on the border with Murcia, and it is one of the sunniest corners of Spain. Alicante airport has flights from most UK airports, and many of the region’s courses are less than an hour’s drive from it.
The golf falls into three areas. In the north, around Denia, Altea and Benidorm, the courses sit in the hills with views down to the sea, including La Sella and the two Jack Nicklaus courses at Villaitana. Around Alicante city there is Alicante Golf, a Seve Ballesteros design by the beach at San Juan, along with El Plantio, Bonalba and the inland courses at Monforte del Cid. In the south, the Vega Baja and Orihuela Costa have one of the densest clusters of courses in Spain, from La Finca and La Marquesa to Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Las Colinas.
There are stay and play resorts in every area, from Melia Villaitana and the Denia Marriott La Sella to La Finca, as well as city hotels in Alicante itself, so a Costa Blanca golf break can be as simple or as varied as you like.
Tell us when you want to travel, how many are in the group and which courses you fancy, and we will build the golf, the hotel and the transfers around your dates.
