Vall d’Or Golf is a beautifully situated 18-hole course on Mallorca’s east-coast, near Felanitx and the resort areas of Cala d’Or and Portocolom. The original nine holes opened in 1986 on the Es Turó estate, and the full 18-hole par-71 layout was completed by 1993-1994.
The front nine wind through rolling pine, almond- and olive-tree covered terrain with narrow fairways, subtle elevation changes and extensive natural vegetation. These holes feel intimate and strategic, often requiring thoughtful tee shots and precise approach play. The back nine open out towards the coast, with more expansive fairways that descend gently towards sea vistas and wider landing areas.
Stand-out features include elevated tees offering sweeping Mediterranean views — in particular the 3rd hole, a par-5 played downhill with panoramic sea views, which is often cited as one of Mallorca’s more memorable holes. The finishing hole, a raised par-3 18th, sits in front of the clubhouse terrace and provides a dramatic conclusion overlooking the bay.
In terms of character, Vall d’Or offers a high-quality yet relaxed experience: the terrain is less manicured than resort-mega-courses, and the atmosphere is genuine, friendly and quietly scenic. For golfers staying on the east side of Mallorca, it presents a slightly less crowded option, beautiful views, and a course that rewards precision rather than sheer length.
