Multiple daily routes
The quietest of the Canaries for golf.
Lanzarote is the Canary that gets overlooked in golf conversations. Tenerife and Gran Canaria pull most of the traffic. Which is the case for going there: emptier courses, lower hotel rates, the same winter weather.
There are two courses on Lanzarote and both are worth playing. Lanzarote Golf Club, designed by Ron Kirby and opened in 2010, is the island’s headline course. It sits above Puerto del Carmen in genuinely volcanic terrain, with black rock framing several of the holes. The conditioning is good, the routing is challenging without being punishing, and the views back to the Atlantic from the upper holes are unusual for Canaries golf.
Costa Teguise Golf Club is the other one. Older, designed by John Harris in 1978, set in the more landscaped northern part of the island near the resort village of Costa Teguise. The course is shorter than Lanzarote GC, lined with mature palms, and built for easier walking. It’s the course you play first thing on a Sunday after a late Saturday night.
The Lanzarote hotel set covers different categories across the island. The Costa Teguise side, the Puerto del Carmen side and the Playa Blanca south coast all have multiple options at different price points. We pair the hotel base with both courses depending on which side of the island works for your group.
Two courses, the hotel base, your choice.
We’ll build the trip around whichever hotel suits your group, then pair it with both courses across the week.
