This is the corner of Ireland most golfers picture when they imagine the trip. Kerry and Cork hold the links that built the country’s reputation, and they sit close enough together that a week here needs very little driving.
Ballybunion and Waterville are the headline rounds, both of them proper dune golf that rewards a low ball and a bit of patience. Killarney is the gentler counterweight, parkland laid out between the lakes and the mountains, and a good third or fourth day when legs are tiring.
