The area surrounding Barcelona in north eastern Spain encompasses the wonderful Costa Brava regional capital city of Girona and the Costa Daurada region which includes the cities of Reus and Tarragona and is becoming a very well established golf destination in it’s own right.
Its popularity is primarily down to the international golfing heavyweights of PGA Catalunya which is the flagship of golf in the Girona Costa Brava area, Real Club el Prat just outside Barcelona and it’s 3 championship golf courses and the European Tour venues in the Costa Daurada at the incredible Infinitum Golf Resort.
Whilst the pedigree of all those venues is unquestionable, the other golf courses in this beautiful region are no way distantly second best either!
With a range of course types from the pine trees at Pals GC – the oldest course in the Girona area, to the Emporda Forest course reminiscent of the Old Course in Vilamoura, through to the challenging hilltop Golf d’Aro, the visiting golfer is sure to find plenty to keep them occupied on a golf break in the Girona Costa Brava region.
